Computer Aided Creative Thinking Machines (CaXTus)
This paper presents a test bed for AI technology on the integration and experimentation of creative AI (CAI) in conjunction with hybrid design tools (HDTs), environments (HDTEs) (i.e. webbased), see Fig. 1 (a) and cloud architecture, shown in Fig. 1(b) [1], [2]. The objective is to build, develop and test HDTs as assistive collaborative CAD support systems for design engineering processes (DEPs) and education. For example, in education a paradigmatic shift in the conceptualization of learning and knowledge acquisition is observed. The goal is to find a set of guiding principles, metaphors and ideas that inform the development of CAI imbued with computational support tools, new theories, experiments, and applications. Results and findings are presented of early-stage research.

CAD’20 welcomes novel contributions on the theory and applications of Computer Aided Design including, but not limited to, modeling, analysis, high-performance graphics, data management, knowledge engineering, collaborative design, reverse engineering, and prototyping. Applications include architecture, bio-medicine, mechanical design, civil engineering, fashion industry, industrial design, sustainable energy design, etc.
CAD’20 is a Save the Trees – Save the Earth conference. All conference materials are stored in the cloud and delivered electronically. That is, the conference program, the proceedings, unpublished journal papers, presentation files as well as videos are available for download only.
